Learning about carbon dioxide:

Caron dioxide: A heavy, odorless, colorless gas formed during respiration and by the decomposition of organic substances.

Carbon dioxide is normally found as a gas that is breathed out by animals and absorbed by green plants. The plants, in turn return oxygen to the atmosphere.

- Green plants such as trees use carbon dioxide, sunlight, and water to create sugars. Sugars provide the energy that makes plants grow. The process creates oxygen, which people and other animals breathe.
